Professional Oklahoma Educators and POE Foundation hosts the following annual events to honor teachers as well as provide leadership development.

School Finance Workshop: The POE Foundation hosts two workshops annually covering school finance. Held in the fall and spring, the workshop is typically attended by encumbrance and payroll clerks, treasurers, financial assistants and superintendents. The workshop typically includes sessions on:
- legislation,
- adjustments in employee pay,
- child nutrition requirements,
- OCAS coding,
- school budgets,
- legal issues and more.
Excellence in Education Merit & Character Awards Banquet: The POE Foundation hosts an annual banquet to recognize and honor educators for their contributions to excellence in Oklahoma education. The awards are given to recognize educators who truly stand out for their commitment and dedication – not only to student learning, but also to the advancement of the teaching profession. Those recognized are POE members nominated by their peers and fellow educators. View the 2022 finalists and winners.
Leadership Training Conference: POE hosts an annual conference for POE local chapter officers, leaders or members interested in developing leadership roles in their local POE chapter or in their school. The conference typically takes place in early July. Information provided at the conference includes legislative information, as well as how to:
- start a local POE chapter,
- grow a current chapter,
- become more active in POE and
- recruit more POE members
Legislative Forums
POE hosts many legislative forums across the state. Attendees are invited to ask local legislators questions regarding public education. These forums are open to teachers, parents, students, community members and members of the press. These events are free.
