POE’s legal department has talked to many teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic about fraudulent unemployment claims being filed, most with a past address and a correct Social Security number. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission is reporting a record number of false claims, and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office and the OESC are investigating what breach has led to this record number of false claims being filed.
